Background

Roads, bridges, and other infrastructure are subject to long-term corrosion and pollution. Conventional protective coatings often lack durability and environmental friendliness. Graphene's exceptional barrier properties and chemical stability offer a new technical route for next-generation functional coatings.

Research

Graphene Functional Coating Preparation

Joint research with the Xi'an Highway Research Institute on next-generation anti-corrosion and anti-fouling graphene coatings:

  • Simple, controllable brush-coating process combined with substrate surface treatment
  • Synthesized graphene coatings significantly improve cement matrix density and surface hardness
  • Extended infrastructure service life

Applications

  • Highway and asphalt road surface protection
  • Bridge concrete structure anti-corrosion and anti-fouling
  • Green and environmentally friendly, meeting new infrastructure protection demands

Representative Achievements

  • 2 national invention patent applications
  • Industry–academia collaboration with Xi'an Highway Research Institute
